Neighbours and schoolfriends, Ketonic formed in September 2006 in Dublin, Ireland. They came together as a once-off
group for a Battle of the Bands competition. They played 'Layla' by Eric Clapton and one of their own songs to a rapturous audience
and took home the prize. After this success they decided to make the band a permanent fixture.
Over Easter 2008, Ketonic recorded their demo CD, a collection of seven songs written themselves. A mix of Rock, Acoustic,
Ska-Pop and Soft-Rock, Ketonic play a mish-mash of genres.
Probably the most impressive thing about Ketonic is their age. Ranging from 16 to 18, youth is definitely on their side.
Since formation, the band line-up has changed somewhat, but the current line-up is as follows:

Age
Oli Smith Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar 17
Celeste Guinness Lead Guitar and Backing Vocals 18
Andrew Martin Drums 16
Tom Guinness Bass 16

Over the years, Ketonic have played under many different names, most recently 'Radio Meltdown', but due to feverish
demand, Ketonic is here to stay.
